CONNECTICUT RIVER REVIEW

The Connecticut River Review is an annual national publication of the Connecticut Poetry Society. The open submission window runs February 1 through April 15. There are some very specific guidelines you should review before submitting. Check out WHAT TO SUBMIT. Contributors receive a copy of the issue in which their work appears.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR CONTESTS

You can review our general guidelines at CPS Contest Central, but you should also check each contest page for anything specific to each one. Also, check our FAQs for any answers you may need.

Contest Restrictions

• We will not accept any work that perpetuates derogatory stereotypes, nor will we accept work that is obscene, prurient, or sexually graphic, hate-mongering, or abusive of any social, racial, ethnic, religious, or gender group.
• Any AI-generated poems, even in part, will be disqualified. 
• Any current year winner, or last year’s winning poets, in any CPS contest are ineligible.
